In 1963 the car was
rebuilt with smooth stainless steel sides with only a red letter
board. The seating capacity of the car is 100 passengers. It is
in mechanically excellent shape with good roller bearing wheel sets,
brakes, and couplers. The car has a diesel generator, new batteries,
solid state electrical components, and an upgraded air conditioning
system. It has also been upgraded with AMTRAK approved sanitary
facilities.
lt will need repair to a rusted roof seam and a complete
interior repaint. The upholstery is in very nice condition. Combined
with the Cascade Club , we can demonstrate another unique feature:
the articulated car. Two cars, the Cascade
Club and this new articulated chair car total 337 feet!
